Istanbul Tour Guide - About Me
I was born and raised in Istanbul as a child of a local family. In my hometown, after elementary school, I attended middle and high schools where I started learning English at a young age.
Even as a high school student, I was fascinated by foreign languages, literature, and history. Following this passion, I studied German and pedagogy at the University of Istanbul, where I focused on foreign languages and received my Bachelor of Education degree.
During my studies, it was my dream to professionally engage with languages and history and work outdoors, so I decided to become a tour guide.
Istanbul tour guide as a profession
I received my license as an official tourist guide for the entire country after completing a one-year training program from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. I have been a member of the Chamber of Istanbul Tourist Guides (IRO) since 1988, with the license number: 34-02669.
As an Istanbul tour guide and passionate history reader, I enjoy the historical face of Istanbul and love to share my passion with my guests. With this in mind, I am excited to share my experiences and many fascinating stories of Istanbul with you.
